In an industry where airplay and promotion are immensely commercialized endeavors, college radio provides a means for lesser-known acts to get the all-important opportunity to be heard on a large, public stage. Since its inception over fifty years ago, this station has embraced that idea, and we're proud to say that we've played hundreds of local artists, up-and-coming acts, and unsigned bands.

Now, don't get us wrong, we love it when big labels send us their stuff (big praise to Matador Records for being especially good to us), and many of those bigger-name artists have made it by the merits of their work. But there's certainly more than just that out there. And we want to play it on the radio.

A few important things to note, though:
1. Submitted media cannot be returned. We just don't have the kind of budget to make that happen.
2. You must have the right to distribute the media you submit (so you're either the artist, or a licensed agent of the artist).
3. We'll do our best to respond to tracking inquiries, but we're not making any promises.

There are two ways to submit your work:

By E-mail

Send your track releases as mp3s (128kbps or higher, please) to wccrpurdue@gmail.com. Please send the relevant information of your track (title, artist, length, genre, year), as well as record label (if there is one), and a website/Myspace address for your group.

By US Mail or Courier
Send properly-packed physical media to:

WCCR Program Director
Cary Quadrangle, Box M
1016 West Stadium Ave
West Lafayette, IN 47906

Note: If you're sending something in a jewel case, and you do not sufficiently package it--it will break in shipping and you risk it not being listened to. If you're going to spend the time sending us something, make sure it gets here in one piece.
